About Sarah
Sarah studied for a BA theology with Kings College London in 2002. She trained for ordination at Ridley Hall in Cambridge and completed an MPhil in Church History with Churchill College during this time. She was ordained in 2008 and served curacies in Lincoln and Lichfield Dioceses. She studied for her Doctorate in Practical Theology at the University of Birmingham (2013-2017), looking at the use of the words ‘christening’ and ‘baptism’, which formed the basis for her book ‘A Rite on the Edge’ published in 2019.
Sarah served as Initial Ministerial Education Phase 2 officer for the Diocese of Lincoln (curate training) from 2018 and in 2021 also became Director of Studies at Lincoln School of Theology. Following the merger between Lincoln School of Theology and St Hild College in September 2023, she became Head of St Hild Lincoln. Since 2025, she has also been Assistant Dean of Studies at St Hild.
Sarah remains involved in parish ministry, especially with children and young people. She enjoys spending time with her family and spending time outdoors.
