Digital Learning

St Hild offers a fully digital Foundation Award and fully digital Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma and MA awards.  This allows students from anywhere in the UK and beyond to access high-quality theological education while enjoying all the flexibility online learning gives.

St Hild digital classes are live and interactive, bringing students together with one of our well-qualified module leaders to discuss and reflect together. Students accessing digital modules can also opt to attend some face-to-face teaching if they wish.

You can choose your mode of study: through the structure and formal assessment of Durham University (Common Awards); a programme of internal St Hild assessment; or learning for interest with no formal assessment (audit).

Foundation Award

Undergraduate teaching takes place through St Hild Online on Thursday evenings. Undergraduate module options include Bible and Context, Faith and the Environment, Greek, Church Planting, Education for a Learning Church, Christian Doctrine and Worship.

Postgraduate Options

Digital study sessions for the Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma and MA take place on Saturdays. Module options include Leadership and the Future Church, Advanced Church Planting in Perspective, Inhabiting Public Ministry, Research and Reflection and Mission on the Margins.
