About Janet - Vice Principal - Senior Leadership
Janet studied Classics and Philosophy at Oxford University before competing a Masters Degree in Patristic Theology at Oxford, and a PhD in Religious Studies with the University of Winchester. A stint in investment banking in London and Tokyo was followed by a career in education, teaching Religious Studies, Theology, Classics, and Philosophy at universities and colleges in Japan and the UK. Ordained in Gloucester in 2009, she served as a Minister in Secular Employment before taking up leadership of the West of England Ministry Training Course in 2012. She joined St Hild as Vice Principal in summer 2018 and leads our Centre for Christian Spirituality and our Anglican Initial Ministerial Formation programmes.
