Justin Thacker

JustinAbout Justin

Justin began his career as a medical doctor before becoming an academic theologian and campaigner. Before joining St Hild in April 2022, he had been the Academic Director at Cliff College, and the Academic Dean at ForMission College. In July 2025, Justin was ordained as a deacon in the Church of England and is currently working part-time as a curate at Holy Trinity and Christ Church in Chesterfield, alongside his part-time role at St Hild College.

Justin has a heart for social justice and for seeing people grow in their God-given potential. He has previously worked for Christian Aid, Tearfund and the campaigning organisation Church Action for Tax Justice. He enjoys running, badminton and walking in the hills.
