About Chris
Chris Edmondson is an Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Leeds. He is also Chair of the Council of Scargill House, and Chaplain to the Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Chris read theology and trained for the ministry at St.John’s College and Cranmer Hall, Durham. He also holds a Master’s degree in theology from Durham. Following ordination in 1973, Chris worked in a variety of parish and Diocesan posts in the North of England, and for six years was Warden of Lee Abbey, Devon. He served as Bishop of Bolton, in the Diocese of Manchester from 2008 until his retirement in 2016. Chris now lives in Bradford with his wife Susan, and they have two married sons.
